The Silver Hedgehog Social Cinema

The aim is that a group of us all watch the same film at the same time, and chat about it either during or after the film.

Its a way of sharing that beloved film with like minded people or watching a film for the first time.

To start with we will be using the Watch Party feature on Amazon Prime. We will provide a link / QR code on our group page at around 7pm,

Please scan the code / follow the link on your device to access the party.  At 7.30pm we will press play.

The Watch Party can accept up to 100 participants, Using your device such as a mobile you can then watch and comment as you go.

There is no need to comment if you don’t want to and there will be a comment thread open on our Facebook group for any messages afterwards.

Each week we will ask the Hogcast community for a Genre. Once we have the Genre selected we will ask for film suggestions, if we have multiple suggestions we will ask the community to vote.  We ask that the films suggested are ‘included/free to Prime’.

As time goes on we may expand social cinema to other services such as Netflix.

For the first film Team Hedgehog have selected the Action Genre and have 3 films up to view.

That’s up to you the Hogcast community, we cannot guarantee specifically family friendly films, but if the group votes for one we have no issues running it.

The aim of the Social Cinema is that you use the subscriptions you already pay for. We want to keep the film suggestions to those available for free, and want to avoid any titles that required an extra fee to watch, this rules out latest releases, however if enough people want to use their own funds to watch a specific title then we will considerer it, but that would be a community decision.

We want the social cinema to be as inclusive as possible for our community.  So feel free to join our group
